QuickSilver Bevel Interface

Every time my wife and I visit New York, we stop by DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass) for the Jacques Torres chocolate factory. We do this because Mr. Torres sells hot chocolate that satisfies even the most jaded gourmand. Whenever we have a dinner party, we end the meal with a cup of Jacques Torres hot chocolate because, as my wife says, it is pass-out good.

BlackTree, Inc. has released a beta of QuickSilver, “a better mousetrap.” In essence, QuickSilver helps you find and launch stuff on your Mac. From a single, intuitive interface, it’s just as easy to find a song in your iTunes library as it is to launch Transmit. It runs smoothly on my old G3, and it’s free.

QuickSilver has already been blogged extensively (don’t miss this third party tutorial). Usually I hate to “me too,” but in this case I can’t help myself. If you run OS X Panther, download QuickSilver now. You won’t believe free software—or software at any price—can be this good. It is pass-out good.
